Filament is to 3D printers what gasoline is to cars. You need it in order to run your machine; you can get it from a variety of different places; and it’s available in various levels of quality. But according to Digital Trends, not all filament is created equally. Filling up your car’s tank with bad gas will make it run worse. Likewise, loading up your printer with inferior filament will impair the machine's performance.
