Wingsuiting Off the Pointe Durier, 3000m Above Chamonix | Free & Fast with Geraldine Fasnacht, Ep. 3

The Pt. Durier rises 3,997 m above Chamonix Mont-Blanc, and Julien Meyer and Geraldine Fasnacht are jumping off it, wingsuit flying over a glacier and into Chamonix itself.

Julien Meyer and Geraldine Fasnacht are two wingsuit pilots who have done this video project with two climber friends, Philippe and Julo, who slept at the Cosmiques hut to climb the Mont-Blanc du Tacul. They then crossed the Mont-Maudit and climbed the Pt. Durier for a magical wingsuit flight of 3000 meters down to Chamonix.

This flight is a very technical one from the start until the Grand Mulet Hut where the glacier starts to become steep again. You really have to be prepared to have a good flight - 2,5 glide (1000 meters vertical drop / 2500 meters distance) in order to have enough space to fly safe and enjoy the wingsuit flight without the stress of thinking you'll hit the ground. Enjoy!
