Die 5 Jungs aus Zürich haben sich im Jahre 2013 unter dem Namen JoJo zusammengeschlossen um ihre Leidenschaft für Musik mit viel Groove und kompromisslosen Beats ausleben zu können. Daraus erfolgte im Jahre 2014 die Liveumsetzung des Albums “Liechtblick”. Schon sehr bald war klar, dass man den musikalischen Weg gemeinsam weitergehen wollte, also volle Kraft voraus! So verkrochen sich die Jungs im Bunker und tüftelten an neuen Songs welche sowohl Live wie auch auf der, im Februar 2016 erschienenen, EP “Nachtschattegwächs” absolut überzeugten.
Ohne elektronisches Zutun untermauern Piano, Gitarre, Bass und Drum die Mundart-Texte aus dem Alltag und laden zum Hüftschwung und Kopfnicken ein.
So bringen JoJo mit ihrem Rap'n'Roll frischen Wind in die Schweizer HipHop-Welt, von dem es lohnt, sich die Haare verwehen zu lassen.

These five dudes from Zurich joined to be a group in the year 2013 under the name JoJo. So that they could share their passion for music with a lot of groove and crazy fun beats. In the year 2014 the live realization oft the studio album „Liechtblick“ was their first strike but not the last one for sure.
It was clear to them that they wanted to continue this musical journey together. So these 5 guys spent a hell of a lot of time hiding out in some bunker trying out different beats, grooves and songs when finally in February 2016 the EP „Nachtschattengewächs“ came to life. Not only was this EP convincing on the album but it also won the heart of their many fans live on stage.
Without any electronic help the piano, the guitar, the bass, the drums and the Swiss-German texts from everyday life are very inviting to shake those hips and rock that body.
JoJo show us a whole new side of the Swiss HipHop scene with their easy going Rap`n`Roll style. A night out shaking those hips to their music is totally worth it.
