Wie klingt eigentlich Berlin? Punkig? Elektronisch? Dreckig? Sexy? Bei der Frage nach einem Berlin-Sound scheiden sich die Geister[…]. Doch auch die Dirty Honkers transportieren sehr viel vom Lebensgefühl zwischen Kotti und Kanzleramt. Seit 2010 hat sich das Trio durch Clubs wie Ritter Butzke, Wilde Renate, Bar 25 und den Festsaal Kreuzberg gerockt, stets mit ekstatischer Liveshow und einer Musik, die sich gerade als neues Genre etabliert. Der Hip Hop Produzent Gad Hinkis (Israel) und die zwei Saxophonisten Andrea Roberts (Kanada) sowie Florent Mannant (Frankreich) verbinden clubtaugliche Electro Beats mit live Swing und fettem Big Band Arrangements, garniert mit Rap und sexy Vocals. Mit Ihrem explosiven Sound haben es die Dirty Honkers schon auf mehrere Electro-Swing Compilations in Deutchland, Frankreich, Japan und sogar China geschafft. Trotzdem bleiben Sie in erster Linie eine Live-Band und überraschen immer wieder mit deftigen Showeinlagen und musikalischen Grenzüberschreitungen.
Dirty Honkers is a Berlin based music group composed of Israeli producer/singer Gad Baruch AKA Neckbreaka, Canadian singer songwriter Andrea Roberts AKA Screechy, and French saxophonist Florent Mannant AKA Flap Jack. This saucy trio has been rocking parties around Europe for the past 5 years with their wild swing-tech style, served with foxy vocals, blazing horns and dirty humour.
They have been touring all over Europe but also performed in New York, Moscow, Tel Aviv and expect to go further in the near future. Bursting with energy, the Dirty Honkers attack any stage, using game controllers to effect their voices and create unique electronic sounds, keeping their show spontaneous and full of improvisation.
The Honkers are now also offering an expanded line-up that can include extra brass musicians and dancers joining the band on stage. The Dirty Honkers Big Band is the Ultimate Swing-Tek Performance.
