Charly Coombes
Charly Coombes is an American-born, British-reared singer/songwriter and musician.
With almost 10 years in the music industry, he was a member of blues rockers '22-20s', long-time session musician for 'Supergrass' and 'Gaz Coombes', and worked with many other bands and artists, sharing line-ups with the likes of 'Foo Fighters', 'Kings Of Leon', 'Stereophonics' and 'The Coral'.
Charly Coombes has recently embarked on a solo career, after releasing three EPs with his previous band 'Charly Coombes & The New Breed'. Coombes' debut solo release 'No Shelter', out September 23rd 2013, is an 11-track acoustic folk-rock album, with soulful melodies and splashes of 'Elliott Smith', 'Nick Drake' and 'Gene Clark'.
Produced by Gaz Coombes and featuring performances from 'Ride's Loz Colbert, 'No Shelter' is released on limited edition vinyl, CD and digital formats.
Touring plans are underway, and a series of live acoustic shows in the UK and Brazil will accompany the release.
Approaching the final stages of Charly Coombes second solo album, due for release later in the year. "Keep an eye out for more news soon!"
