Couple get engaged mid-air during flight back from holiday

Heartwarming footage of a man proposing to his girlfriend of two years as they fly back to London from Palma, Mallorca.
In the video, shot on December 18, an air hostess can be heard telling the passengers there is a "situation" at the front of the plane and calling Ettie Mutebuka forward.
Hiding next to her is Rene Betek, Ettie's partner. As Ettie arrives, the air hostess hands the intercom to Rene who professes his love to his girlfriend before he kneels down and asks her to marry him.
"We have been living together for two years and during that time he made me believe that marriage wasn't his thing," Ettie told Newsflare.
"He was wearing the engagement ring on his finger the other way round so I didn't suspect anything at all."
"Onboard I started coughing blood so I told him how uncomfortable I was and my head was soo painful," she added.
"He told crew who helped with paracetamol. Just when the paracetamol was sinking in I took my shoes off and relaxed almost dozing off he went to the toilet at the back and complained that it was busy he was going to use the front one."
"I was half sleeping, I had my name being called on the PA system. I thought either he has done something or they want to check on my headache."
"To say I was shocked is an understatement," Ettie concluded.
