Arab League Seeks UN Recognition of Palestinian State Six Arab foreign ministers met in Jordan to persuade the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian state, naming East Jerusalem as its capital. The move comes in the aftermath of President Trump's announcement last month where he officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
