Easter craft ideas for kids. Hands-on crafts: how to make pom-pom chick

In this video I show how to make a cute pom-pom chick from yarn. For this project you will need: scissors, pencil or marker (for tracing), cardboard (for example from cereal box), yellow yarn (for head and body), orange pipe cleaners (for legs), orange felt (for beak), black beads (for eyes), silicone glue, and ribbon of your choice. First I show how to make yarn pom-poms. For this we need to trace lids to make 2 pair of circles of slightly different diameter: 2 bigger circles for a bigger pom-pom (chicks body) and 2 smaller circles for smaller pom-pom (chicks head). After we cut 2 pairs of circles from cardboard, we wrap yarn around each circles pair, then cut and tie between circles. Next step is to tie pom-poms together. Now you can comb your pom poms with any hair brush and trim to your liking. Then we glue legs, eyes and beak onto the chick and finally tie a bow. Now your chick is ready to hatch! It can be a nice Easter surprise, gift, or centerpiece.\r
