Non-league football 'legend' demonstrates the art of the free kick

Non-league football "legend" Scott Rickards demonstrates the art of the free kick.

Nicknamed, so we're told, the Great One, Rickards played for various clubs in his career before officially retiring from Sunday League football last year.

Rickards is held in such high esteem by other players that he was met with a guard of honour at a pub called the Lamb after winning a cup final.

Rickards can still be seen turning out from time to time for Saturday outfit Highgate United, who play in the Midland Football League Premier.

He's also under-18 coach at Mansfield Town, where surely they must be getting pretty good at taking free kicks by now.
