In this Maya tutorial we will create a semi realistic space environment/animation from start to finish using Maya and Arnold we will be using a free image of the earth and then converted into camera mapping in Maya then we will use the Hubble telescope 3d model from our library and added to our space environment, we will adjust the material on the telescope using Arnold Surface Material to give it a metallic similar to the reference of the real telescope.

Once we are done with the animation we will create the final lighting and split up our scene into multiple render layers in Maya, so this way we will be able to export the final animation into multiple layers for compositing later on.

This Maya tutorial will go in-depth into creating pretty cool environment and there will be lots of tips and tricks to help you create this kind of scene for your own project.
