Mamma mia!!! Mario's girlfriend Sheryl has been kidnapped!!! Now Mario must fight a bunch of animals with machine guns to save her. Also, he lives in Texas and can turn into a ball for some reason (in fairness, Mario has turned into weirder things in the official games). This was originally a Japan-only game called "Armadillo" that some kind bootleggers stole and published as Super Mario Bros. 4 back in the early 90s. Very considerate of them.
