Unnao case: BJP MLA finally booked for rape, UP govt calls for CBI probe

BJP lawmaker Kuldeep Singh Sengar has finally being booked in a one year old rape case. The Bangarmau MLA was booked under the stringent POCSO act and other sections of the IPC. He has been accused by the woman of raping her in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao in 2017. Her father was arrested and later died in judicial custody. The Yogi Adityanath government has handed over the cases of rape and father's death to the CBI. The lawmaker's brother, Atul Sengar, has already been arrested for assaulting the victim's father.
