Collapsed buildings and sunken homes: Floods devastate Hawaii's Kauai Island

Eyewitness video from Hawaii's Kauai Island shows the shocking extent of the damage from severe flooding.

Video filmed on Wednesday (April 17) from Hanalei Bay shows partly sunken houses, submerged and overturned cars, collapsed buildings and fallen trees.

The Kauai Emergency Management Agency, the US Army and National Guard helped airlift more than 220 people from the Haena and Wainiha (Kauai) area on Tuesday, US media reported, after heavy rains caused flooding and landslides over the weekend.

Forecasters say another round of wet weather is set to move in on Thursday.
