GM Korea to hold board meeting Friday, will file for bankruptcy protection if labor union talks fail

Ailing automaker GM Korea will hold a board meeting this evening to discuss filing for bankruptcy protection... if it fails to reach a restructuring agreement in the coming hours.
Company representatives say executives,... including GM Korea's CEO Kaher Kazem will attend the board meeting.
Talks on Thursday between management and GM Korea's labor union ended without an agreement on its rescue plan,... including wage cuts and relocation of workers at its soon-to-be-shuttered Gunsan plant.
The two sides are meeting again today to see if they can find common ground before the board meeting.
