Woman hit, killed by hit-and-run driver

Police say the pedestrian, a 46-year-old woman, was crossing Van Buren Street mid-block when she was struck by a car headed westbound. The car carried the woman to the area of 30th Avenue and Van Buren Street where first responders found her. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
