John Reid And The Nightcrawlers - All Over The World

I first met John Reid in 1992. I had just had a big hit with The Pasadenas, and Julian Palmer from Island Records asked me to produce a new band called The Nightcrawlers, with John Reid as lead singer. I cut "Whenever You Need Someone" which sadly never came out, and we then redid it a year later on Bad Boys Inc. John had an amazing sense of melody, and we wrote together for many years, including virtually all the hits for Bad Boys Inc, "Optimystic", "Gemini" and "Upside Down". The Nightcrawlers went on to have a huge hit with "Push The Feeling On", which Island had dropped, and I helped get placed with Andy Thompson at London Records, who picked it up, promoted it, and it sold millions all over Europe. John has always had THE most amazing voice but the public has hardly ever heard it, as his huge hit was more a gimmick dance record. He demoed all my songs in the 1990s and no artist could ever improve on his demo vocals. Since then he has written the number one song "A Moment Like This" for both Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis, has sold his publishing catalogue for a cool two million pounds, and is now writing for Il Divo. What a privilege to get him to recut the Chuck Jackson classic "All Over The World", for my album "Yesterday And Tomorrow", and so far, those who have heard it claim he out sings Chuck. His former girlfriend who he used to live with in Glasgow, Mary Kiani, also has a track on the album, re cutting "Close To Perfection". But of course this is yet another performance for my oh so important new project. Happily, John's version of this classic song will have you dancing off the ceiling.
