Audi R8 RWS - A Rear Wheel Drive R8?! | TRACK TEST

Join me for an exclusive opportunity to discover the new Audi R8 RWS, the first Audi R8 that is rear wheel drive only. With only 999 being produced, and 540 horsepower from the NA V10, the Dubai Autodrome is mine to explore and discover what the RWS is all about!
For the first time, Audi have removed the Quattro system from the R8 to produce the 1-of-999 R8 RWS - standing for Rear Wheel Series, and yes that means all the power to the rear axle. Traditionally it would always have featured the power being distributed to all four corners, and the limited edition model represents the first break away from that.
With the V10 mated to the S-tronic gearbox, and a slightly lighter total weight than in the regular car, the big thing is going to be what it's like with traction disabled - so let's try!
