Video Description : Honda Mobilio VS Renault Lodgy\r
The video does a detailed comparison of Honda Mobilio and Renault Lodgy. It includes design details, drive, engine and much more.\r
\r
Exterior : \r
To start with, the rear section of the both cars carries a uniqueness of their own, but Honda seems to have done a better job here with its carved tailgate and striking tail light cluster. On the other hand, Lodgys rear look is largely plane, though, the uniquely designed taillight cluster is a dash of style. The sides of Mobilio is sportier while the same looks mature in Lodgy. The front end of Mobilio exhibits more familiarity because of its resemblance to Brio and Amaze while Lodgy is a fresh new face, more discrete.\r
\r
Interiors : \r
On the inside, there is a lot that both these MPVs share from their siblings. In Mobilios case, the dash is same as that of Brio and Amaze with only some faux wood inserts that helps in differentiating. Speaking of Lodgy, the interior designers went the smart way out by making a different dash, and despite the f that it shares bits from duster, it ends up looking better on the inside. The build quality of Lodgy is better than that of Mobilio and it also gets a host of storage spaces. Coming to the Mobilio, it features larger infotainment screen, slimmer seats, central armrest in central row, recline and slide adjust of first and second row. But Mobilio doesnt get third row A/C vents as that in its counterpart. Lodgy is more roomy than Mobilio, comes in 2 configuration 7 and 8 seater.\r
\r
Ride and Handling : \r
Lodgy, just like the Duster gets two engine options to choose from, the 85PS and 110PS. We are driving the 85PS one, that produces 200 Nm of torque and is slightly lazy taking of from the line. On the other hand, Honda Mobilio feels lighter and more quicker with its 100 PS motor but the i-DTEC motors knock filters a lot inside the cabin, mostly because inadequate shielding. Driveability of Lodgy is a commendable point to make but Mobilio cuts it out when considering small city car like nimble handling and low end torque. In terms of fuel efficiency, Mobilio leads with 24.5 Kmpl and Lodgy gives 21.04 Kmpl with the 85 PS version and 19.98 kmpl with the 110 PS version. \r
Mobilio feels more pliant on uneven roads despite its stiffer suspension. However, Lodgy is not in a mood of giving up this fight and is butter smooth on highway roads without any road thuds filtering in.\r
\r
Verdict : \r
Mobilio is a great looker, rides well, seats occupants comfortably, but Lodgy does all this and more. It sets a new benchmark for the MPV class and will be a better car to own.
