Seoul's defense chief says peace on Korean peninsula contributes to global prosperity

South Korea's defense chief has been offering his thoughts on the ongoing diplomacy with North Korea at Asia's largest security forum,... the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.
Giving a speech at the forum's plenary session this morning,... Song Young-moo stressed the Moon administration's North Korea policies and drive to denuclearize the peninsula not only contributes to the stability of Northeast Asia,... but also promotes global prosperity and peace.
North Korea is also likely to dominate discussions when Minister Song and his U.S. counterpart James Mattis meet this afternoon on the sidelines of the forum.
