Armed police surrounded a JetBlue aircraft on the runway at John F Kennedy International Airport in New York on Tuesday, June 26, after the plane lost contact with air traffic control, prompting a security alert.Passengers on board the aircraft were left fearing for their lives after the incident, which took place at around 8 pm, CBS New York reported.The Airbus A320, which suffered a radio equipment glitch, subsequently returned to the gate for inspection and passengers deplaned, the report said.This video shows an armed police officer walking down the aisle of the plane whilst passengers waited patiently for the all clear.
