Shocking CCTV footage from inside a bus captured the moment a passenger's mobile phone charger exploded in her handbag in southern China late last month.
But the calm response of the bus driver saved the day.
In the video, filmed in southern China's Fujian Province on June 20, the woman's handbag suddenly bursts into a ball of flames while she sits at the back of a bus in Zhangzhou City.
She starts screaming and jumps out of her seat, running towards the driver, who stops the vehicle.
The charger falls near the driver, who is wearing sunglasses and calmly presses the fire extinguisher next to his right side.
He then releases his seatbelt and kicks the charger of the bus.
The driver then opened the windows to let out all the smoke.
Fortunately, the woman was not injured.
