Warby Parker may have built its name in the digital world, but the eyewear specialists laid down more permanent roots earlier this year with a new flagship store in Soho. Designed to mimic a library, the space reflects the "literary life well-lived" with floor-to-ceiling shelves, rolling ladders and books from 14 independent publishers like McSweeney's. It's a concept that reflects the brand's roots in reading and literature -- the name Warby Parker was derived from two early Kerouac characters -- as well as Soho's strong ties with the creative world. And, while Warby Parker will continue its revolutionary way of selling frames online, the brick-and-mortar boasts physical conveniences like on-site eye exams by optometrists, along with the chance for its founders to personally interact with customers. For this latest installment of Hypebeast Spaces, we took a closer look at Warber Parker's handsome new space, from the well-lit shelves of stylish-yet-affordable frames to its terrazzo floors and throwback solari boards. Watch the video here and be sure to visit Warby Parker online for more information.
