Out-of-control truck crashes into shops and parked cars

This is the terrifying moment an out-of-control pick-up truck spins off the road - narrowly missing a pedestrian before smashing into three parked cars.

The suped-up white Isuzu appeared to have been speeding when it lost control and careered across three lanes before skidding across the pavement.

Just moments earlier a man had been walking to work along the promenade of shops in Phuket, Thailand, yesterday (August 2).

The pick-up truck missed the passer-by - who was seen from a different angle later leaping out of the way - but smashed into the steps of the security camera shop sending sparks flying.

It then smashed into cars that were parked outside the shops - writing off itself and inflicting major damage on the other vehicles.

Miraculously, nobody was injured and rescue workers arrived and took the driver of the pick-up truck and his two passengers to hospital.

Driver Kittithorn Meejor, 28, suffered facial injuries while passengers Manop Krongyod, 24, and Apidet Insum, 21, suffered arm and neck injuries as well as cuts and bruises.

Wasan Tee, who runs the shop next door to the accident, said: ''I'm thankful that nobody was outside when this happened. It's miracle nobody was killed.

''The cars have been badly damaged but they can be repaired. The truck does not look like it can be saved. This is one of the worst crashes I have seen here.''
