More than 260,000 South Korean firms recorded zero net profit in 2017: NTS

New figures show more than 2-hundred-60-thousand firms in South Korea declared zero net profit in 2017,… the *highest since related data was first compiled back in 2012.
The National Tax Service's report, released on Monday shows.... the number of companies posting zero net profit, which includes those making losses,... jumped by 9-point-8 percent in 2017 from the previous year.
The report added that.... such companies accounted for 38 percent of firms registered to pay corporation tax in South Korea.
On the other hand,.... large firms with a net profit of 8-point-9 million U.S. dollars or more.... increased by more than 12 percent,... marking almost 2-thousand-4-hundred.
