Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. First, let's look at what's happening with Typhoon Soulik which is expected to hit the peninsula this week. The route of the typhoon has shifted a bit more to the west than expected so as it takes its route north it's expected to affect more of the west than the east of the country with harsh wind and rain.
The typhoon's impact will be felt on Jeju and in Jeollanam-do Province tomorrow,... and on Thursday, the whole country will have to brace for the peak of the storm. By Friday, the typhoon will make its exit over the east coast, but until it's gone fully, the rain will linger in the central region.
Tomorrow, the heat from the typhoon continues to keep up the daily highs while Beijing and Tokyo stay cooler along with Korea's southern regions.
Most regions are now back with tropical nights tonight,... as Seoul's morning temperature hits 25 degrees Celsius. Daegu is at 25 and Busan 27.
The daytime high will reach up to 36 degrees in Seoul, while Jeju will be cooled by the storm.
