Roads turned into raging rivers, cars half-submerged as flash floods hit Madison

Almost all of southern Wisconsin was put under a flash flood watch on Monday afternoon (August 20) as heavy rain pelted down in the city.

This video, shared to Facebook by Davia Di Mattia, shows the flooding situation along High Point Road and Old Sauk Road.

Madison police said that the department had received reports of flooding at over 40 intersections from commuters.

Warnings were in place overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, with more rain expected throughout the evening.
