Korea held anti-terrorism drills aimed at enhancing response capabilities against terror attacks taking place in the country's territorial waters.

According to the National Counter Terrorism Center, the exercises staged on Friday at Gyeongin Port in Incheon, largely consisted of two parts: handling an attack on a cruise ship and one at a passenger terminal.
On the cruise ship scenario, the drill comprised minimizing the threat of a mass shooting and explosives by terrorists and tackling potential fires.
Approximately 370 officers from the counter-terrorism agency, the National Intelligence Service and other government branches took part in the drills.
