South Korea's ambassador to the U.S. Cho Yoon-je has made assurances that Seoul-Washington cooperation is happening around the clock.
At a meeting with correspondents in Washington on Wednesday,... Cho said... he is aware of some media concerns on the rapid development of inter-Korean ties compared to the regime's denuclearization.
But he said... that both South Korea and the U.S. agree that the trust built from those better relations has helped overcome difficulties whenever the North Korea-U.S. talks hit a stalemate.
Adding that Seoul and Washington are always sharing open-minded and sincere discussions.... Cho said he expects working-level talks between Washington's special envoy for North Korea, Stephen Biegun and Pyeongyang's Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui to be held soon.
