Nintendo Switch Lifetime Sales Outperform GameCube Nintendo sold 3.19 million units of the Switch during Q2, bringing the console's total sales to 22.86 million units. By comparison, the GameCube sold 21.74 million units in its six-year lifetime. Nintendo will need to see a surge in holiday console sales to hit their target of 20 million sold for 2018. The Japanese gaming company's books are looking solid following the quarter. Nintendo reported revenue of roughly $1.96 billion, up from roughly $1.95 billion during the same quarter last year. The growth is small, but positive in a typically quiet period for Nintendo.
