A novice pilot takes control of a plane when his brother falls dangerously ill mid-air. Sam has to talk the younger brother in to a safe landing on the airstrip. Despite strong warnings from both Dr Randall and Dr Standish, the brothers take to the air again with disastrous results. Chris and Ian agree to be good friends, while Geoff and Kate explore the nature of their friendship.
