Man shot during police operation in Wimbledon

The Metropolitan Police say a man was shot at around 8.10am on Monday in Lacock Close during an operation involving officers from the anti-robbery Flying Squad supported by armed colleagues. He has been taken to hospital and no information is immediately available on his condition. A second man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. A number of roads around the scene, including Haydons Road, have been closed as an investigation is carried out. Report by Jonesia.
