An Awesome Evening - BARBEL & CHUB - Warwickshire Avon - 29/6/18 (Video 76)

After Wednesday's successful short session, a return to the same swim was in order on Friday evening, being able to fish later into dark and see what would turn up.

I was confident that there would be some fish to be had in the well oxygenated water to be found here just below the weir. I was in for a pleasant surprise or two, or three...

I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching.

Tight lines,

Nic

It is worth mentioning, to allay anyone's fears, that this section is only 50m or so below a weir. The water is very well oxygenated and both barbel and chub were very well rested in the deep margin next to this swim, after being landed and before being returned to the water.

These were the prototype set I made. As I was very happy with them and they do the job brilliantly so have now made a more aesthetic set which I now use whenever I'm barbel fishing or likely to encounter barbel.
