Resignation of NSC members means data is no longer under control of an oversight body, says Pronab Sen

The two remaining independent members of the National Statistical Commission (NSC), PC Mohanan and JV Meenakshi have tendered their resignation two years before the end of their term. Sources say the resignations are because of not being kept in the loop over several issues including the GDP back series data.
