Seoul taxi base fare to increase to 3,800 Korean won from Feb. 16

The base fare for taxis in Seoul will rise to 38-hundred Korean won, or three U.S. dollars 40 cents, from the current 3-thousand won,... beginning at 4 a.m. on February 16th.
According to the city government,... the late-night fare from midnight to 4 a.m. will start from approximately four dollars,... while the base fare for deluxe and jumbo taxis will also rise to nearly six dollars.
This is the first increase in fares since October 2013.
Seoul City is also mulling over the possibility of raising subway and bus fares.
