Land Acquisition Bill A Bitter Pill

The Cabinet cleared the new Land Acquisition Bill yesterday that remains contentious on many counts . The Bill championed by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, stiffly resisted by Agriculture Minister and NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar. And sources say that it was this resistance that has made the bill a flawed one.
