Upper House Passes Quota Bill, Lok Sabha to Consider Next

The Bill faces a sterner test in the Lok Sabha where it is expected to be taken up for consideration on Wednesday. And the govt is expected to be keeping a close eye on Mulayam Singh Yadav's moves.What are the options before the SP supremo ahead of that crucial vote. One, he could force adjournments of the Lok Sabha keeping the bill to be taken up at all. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath will meet Mulayam to try and cover that front. Second, Mulayam could decide to pull out of outside support to the government, something that he has threatened to do in the recent past if the govt supports the bill.
