Meanwhile candlelight vigils and marches have been held across India over the last 24 hours expressing solidarity with the victim of the brutal gang rape and praying for her health. As demands grow for fast-track trials and harsh punishment to curb crime against women. Vigils were held across Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai besides smaller cities like Indore and Gorakhpur.
