After Modi and Swaraj, now Jaitley meets Advani

"We are confident that he will agree to the party's decision soon," Jaitley told reporters after meeting the senior leader.
BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu, who also met Advani over the issue, said, "Nothing is going to happen which is not in the party interests. Everything will be fine. The party has requested him (Advani) to contest from Gandhinagar."
Meanwhile, RSS also intervened into the issue and told Advani to fall in line with party wishes and contest from the Gandhinagar seat chosen for him by the BJP.
Modi, who met Advani for about half-an-hour at the latter's residence in New Delhi, had also urged him to contest from Gujarat's Gandhinagar constituency.
