Our job to catch thieves, not missing girls: UP cop - NewsX

Till date with each passing day U.P Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has only managed to show how incapable he's about dealing with the rising goonda raj in the state. But that's not all, Akhilesh is also losing grip on his crime fighting officials who are scaling new heights in insensitivity. On Wednesday a DIG endorsed honour killings and today an SP defended him, stating that their job as policemen is to catch thieves and NOT chasing missing girls. The remarks came a day after a police official sent hired goons to beat up a farmer, while in another incident a local goonda stabbed a man to death for objecting to eve-teasing.
