Taliban praises India for resisting US pressure - NewsX

In a surprise move, the Taliban have come out with a rare praise of India . According to it India has stood up to the US over the Afghan situation. The Taliban has promised that Afghanistan won't be used to hurt Indian interests. In a commentary on its English website, the Taliban called India "a significant country in the region." It said US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta wanted it to play a more important role in Afghanistan, but the Indians refused.
