Udhampur attack aftermath: Captured terrorist Naved will undergo lie detector test on Tuesday

The NIA on Monday got permission from a Delhi court to conduct a lie detector test on LeT terrorist Mohammed Naved Yakub, who was captured by villagers after an attack on a BSF bus in Udhampur earlier this month which had left two of its personnel dead.Naved, in his early 20s, was produced before a court in New Delhi where the anti-terror agency also secured permission to collect his DNA and voice samples. The lie detector test on Naved, who is in NIA custody till 24 August, will be carried out at 11 am on Tuesday at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in CGO complex, after his interrogators claimed he was lying on many accounts.During the in-camera proceedings, District Judge Amar Nath granted NIAs prayer for the polygraphy test after taking consent from Naved, a resident of Faislabad in Pakistan. Naved gave his consent for the test in writing in Urdu.
