Penguin India defends pulping book

Two days after Penguin recalled and pulped American scholar Wendy Doniger's book on Hinduism, it finally issues a statement for its actions, blames Indian laws for pulping THE HINDUS.
The right wing petitioner now wants Doniger's previous book by Aleph Books withdrawn too and has found support in the BJP.
Are political hardliners hinting that curbing freedom of expression is the only way publishers can survive in India.
