Saradha scam: Kunal Ghosh drags in Mamata minister

Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh dropped another bombshell in the Saradha case on Friday, dragging education minister Partha Chatterjee's name for the first time.
Kunal alleged that other Ponzi firms - including some that had "sponsored an event of which Chatterjee is chairman" - were still collecting money from the public. These chit fund companies were going scot free while he was locked up in jail for months, Kunal complained, warning that their "influential patrons" were using the time to wipe out all evidence.
Chatterjee sought to brush off the allegations. "I do not feel like responding to an allegation made by a person who is mentally ill. However, I want the investigating agencies to inquire into all chit fund scams between 1980 and 2011. I can only say I am not a beneficiary of such funds. I belong to a club that has got donations from some of these (chit) funds," he told
