Shiv Sena Minister Anant Geete to quit Modi cabinet

The bitter break-up between the Shiv Sena and the BJP in Maharashtra had its fallout in New Delhi on Monday with Union Heavy Industries Minister Anant Geete set to resign from Narendra Modi's Cabinet.
Geete, the only minister from Shiv Sena in the NDA government, is likely to quit after Modi returns from his US trip on Wednesday. "After PM Modi returns from US, Anant Geete will meet and submit his resignation from the central government," Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said.
Geete's decision to resign came a day after Home Minister Rajnath Singh said there has been no decision on his continuation in the government.
