#SadhviSlur: BJP - Sadhvi Jyoti targeted because she’s a Dalit

The Opposition on Friday stepped up its attack on the government with both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessing protests on the Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti issue. While the Opposition in Lok Sabha alongwith Congress’ Rahul Gandhi wore black masks to signify how their voices were being muzzled and even walked out of the house, the house proceedings in the Rajya Sabha were washed out for the fourth day in succession. The BJP attempted to appeal to the Opposition to accept the first time minister’s apology keeping in mind her rural background” and that she was a “Dalit woman.”


Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi seemed to goad the Opposition further with his remarks in the upper house as Opposition MPs refused to let the house function. “The Congress is targeting dalit woman even after she apologized shows their arrogance.”
