Protests in Srinagar over death of local youth

The people of Srinagar's Peerbagh area staged a protest against the death of a local youth after the police recovered his body with his throat slit near the Railway Bridge this morning. As the news of the recovery of the youth's body spread in the area, the people came out on the streets wailing and beating their chests. The protestors also pelted stones at the policemen outside the police headquarters in Srinagar.
