Mirchi Ka Salan Recipe - Hyderabadi Mirchi Ka Salan For Biryani - Spicy Green Chilli Curry - Tarika

Ingredients:
1 Onion, sliced
1/4 cup Peanuts
1/4 cup Dry Coconut, desiccated
2 tbsp White sesame seeds
8 Large Green Chillies, slit
2 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Red Chilli powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1/2 inch Ginger, minced
Water
1 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
Dried Curry leaves
1 tbsp Tamarimd + Water
1 1/2 cup Water

Method of preparation:
Heat a pan on low to medium heat, add onion and dry roast it.
Once the onions are slight brown in colour, add peanuts, coconut, white sesame seeds and take them out on a plate.
Heat oil in a pan, lightly fry the chillies in it.
Grind the onion mixture that we had dry roasted earlier with red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, garlic cloves,ginger, water and grind it into smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, ground paste and cook it for 5 minutes.
Add tamarind water,mix well and add more water.
Add fried chillies and let them cook.
Add salt, give it a good stir and our Mirchi Ka Salan is ready to serve.
