Trump Just Announced the FAA is Grounding All Boeing 737 Max 8 Flights
  • 5 years ago
On Wednesday, the United States of America became the last major country in the world to ban flights of the Boeing 737 Max 8 in its airspace. The move comes after a second such aircraft in six months crashed on Sunday. Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 was on its way from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to Nairobi, Kenya, when it plummeted to earth, killing all 157 on board. Following a delay which saw authorities in, among others, Europe, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, the UAE, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and finally Canada—not to mention carriers in South America and Africa—ground the model, the U.S. has joined in the ban.
