Abdul Aziz, a survivor from New Zealand’s Christchurch mosque attack, speaks about his encounter with the gunman suspected with killing at least 50 people on Friday, March 15, 2019. Aziz is being hailed as a hero for his actions, including attempts to distract the shooter, and at one point throwing a credit card reader known as an EFTPOS ( electronic funds transfer point of sale) at the attacker, possibly driving him away from the mosque and preventing more deaths.
