Sri Lanka suicide bombings: Death toll rises to 290

At least 290 people have been killed, including dozens of foreigners, following a series of eight suicide bomb blasts across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.

500 people were also wounded, according to Sri Lankan police.

The attacks took place at churches, and at luxury hotels across the island nation.

According to the media in Sri Lanka, authorities have arrested 24 suspects in connection with the brutal attacks so far.
